This Privacy Policy describes how codeCave ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit codecave.ar or interact with our services.

codeCave is a software development studio based in Córdoba, Argentina, founded in 2018. We build web applications, AI agents, and Web3 products for clients worldwide.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you fill out our contact form, we collect: name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), service of interest (optional), and message content.

Information collected automatically.

• Analytics — We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records aggregated page views, referrers, and browser type.
• Server logs — Our hosting infrastructure logs IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings for security and debugging. These are kept for 30 days.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your contact inquiry.
• To follow up about a project we discussed.
• To improve our website and services in aggregate, anonymized form.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

Contact form submissions are stored in our internal CRM system, hosted on Railway infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

5. Data retention

• Contact form submissions — retained for 24 months after last contact, then deleted unless you become a client.
• Client data — retained for the duration of the engagement plus 5 years for accounting and tax purposes (Argentine law requirement).
• Analytics data — retained for 12 months in aggregate form.

6. Your rights

Under Argentine Law 25.326 (Personal Data Protection Act) and the EU GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Rectify inaccurate information.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to processing.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may receive your data:

• Railway — hosting infrastructure (privacy).
• Anthropic — AI chat assistant. Only message content sent to the chatbot is processed; contact form data is not shared.
• n8n — workflow automation for chat handoffs.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through the site.
